3rd Annual Black Educated Lesbians Conference

3rd Annual Black Educated Lesbians Conference announcement for September 18-20, 2026.

Theme: Thriving in Power: Liberation, Legacy, Leadership

September 18–20, 2026 | Atlanta, Georgia

The 3rd Annual Black Educated Lesbians (BEL) Conference is a three-day gathering created for Black lesbians and Black queer women to connect, learn, reflect, and build community.

This year’s conference centers the conversations that affect our lives beyond the surface — from health and wellness to financial literacy, relationships, leadership, entrepreneurship, aging, safety, and sexual autonomy.

BEL creates space for honest dialogue, culturally relevant education, meaningful connection, and practical resources that participants can carry with them long after the conference ends.

Topics & Conversations

Throughout the weekend, attendees will participate in workshops, panels, and facilitated conversations covering:

  • Entrepreneurship & Business Growth — Building and sustaining businesses while navigating the realities of entrepreneurship
  • Physical Health — Preventive care, nutrition, movement, and whole-person wellness
  • Mental Health — Emotional wellness, healing, coping, and sustainable self-care
  • Domestic Violence Awareness — Safety, survivor support, healthy boundaries, and community accountability
  • Financial Literacy & Legacy Building — Budgeting, financial planning, wealth-building, and long-term stability
  • Suicide Prevention & Community Support — Recognizing warning signs, creating support systems, and strengthening community care
  • Healthy Relationships — Communication, boundaries, intimacy, love, and chosen family
  • Women’s Health — Advocacy, reproductive and sexual health, preventive care, and navigating healthcare systems
  • Sexual Liberation & Body Autonomy — Pleasure, consent, freedom, and unlearning shame
  • Neither This Nor That: The Spectrum Speaks — A conversation exploring identity, presentation, and experiences across the lesbian spectrum
  • Strong, Healthy & Whole: Aging with Intention — Wellness, preparation, community, and legacy as we age
