Black Queer Women's Needs Assessment Survey

Purpose

The Black Queer Women’s Needs Assessment was created to gather direct, confidential insight from Black lesbians and queer women across the U.S. and beyond. The goal is to understand their lived experiences, challenges, and priorities across wellness, housing, representation, economic security, and support systems.

This survey will help BEL:

  • Advocate for community-specific resources and funding
  • Create targeted programs and services
  • Inform research, partnerships, and policy change

Who should use the data assessed:

This report is designed for:

  • Funders and community partners interested in intersectional, data-driven equity work
  • Policymakers, researchers, and health professionals focused on racial and LGBTQ+ health equity
  • Black  lesbian-led nonprofits, mutual aid groups, and grassroots organizers
  • Members  of the BEL community and broader LGBTQ+ networks who want to know: "What do we really need—and what can we build together?"
